  1. Procedural Thinking

(Thinking + Elaboration + Fine Resolution)

Judgment advances one link at a time and stops at every inconsistency. Each step must hold before the next is taken, so errors pass them less often than anyone else. This is the logic of the auditor, the editor and the legal mind.

  2. Synoptic Thinking

(Thinking + Sufficiation + Broad Resolution)

Judgment starts from the final goal and reads the whole situation at once. Details are sorted into broad classes, individual feelings count for little, and an instruction makes sense only when its purpose is known. This is the logic of the commander.

  3. Resonant Feeling

(Feeling + Sufficiation + Fine Resolution)

Judgment rests on the concrete person, taken whole. Who someone is decides what their words are worth, the moods of people nearby are taken on as one's own, and wronging the weak is unthinkable. Fairness and loyalty are kept one relationship at a time, within close circles.

  4. Confiding Feeling

(Feeling + Elaboration + Broad Resolution)

Judgment is voiced and shared inside relationships. Troubles, failures and hurt are talked through with others, whose support settles the mood, and tension in a group is eased the same way. Emotions kept private are the exception here.
